First, call the number at the top of the screen to see if your home qualifies. The Customer Service Representative can tell you. If your home qualifies, schedule an appointment time for us to come and install the necessary equipment. *Note: If you are using more than one computer or device that has wireless capability, you need to purchase your own router to distribute the signal to all devices. The installer can help you configure your router for a small fee. - What is a fast internet speed and what is slow?
Generally, high speed internet can be anywhere between 512 kilobits per second (kbps) download to 10 megabits per seconds (mbps). Dial-up is 56k by comparison. - What is a wireless internet connection?
An internet connection that is brought to your home wirelessly through the use of radio frequencies. - How fast is wireless internet?
It depends on what the ISP can provide to you. We currently offer speeds of approximately 512kbps and approximately 1024kbps (or 1 megabit). We cannot guarantee that the speeds will be at exactly 512k or 1024k all of the time, but it does generally stay pretty close.
